Professional Experiences | 2003 - now | Joins Laboratori Guglielmo Marconi in Network Design division. Main activities: Network design. Reorganization from scratch of network services in a big existing network (~5000 users): email/groupware, VPN, infrastructure design (DMZ, information fluxes among premises, …). Integration of VoIP and existing optical fiber infrastructure. Design of security in Europe-wide train network (security issues, policies, demo implementation). Systems Linux administrator. Linux server administration: apache, qmail, MySql, LDAP, squid, mrtg, iptables, named, mnogosearch, system/network monitoring. Integrated LDAP/squid/webmail/groupware with custom scripts and schemas. Customized Windows services with Cygwin. Optic fiber networking tests. Software development. C/C++, java, PHP (with mysql), python, perl, bash programming/scripting. Customization of Joomla CMS. Daily use of SQL, XML, HTML, ASP, CGI. C++ development with MS Visual Studio 6. Relationships.
